Bricklehurst Alumnae

This page is for our Bricklehurst Alumnae. We would like to invite you to share information about what you have been up to since you left Bricklehurst. Please tell us about your travels, education and other experiences as it is lovely to see what everyone has been up to. You may also use this page to organise reunions, if you so wish, as we realise the importance of maintaining those valuable friendships that began here with us.

I left Bricklehurst in 2011 when my family moved to Jersey. I am now in Year 8. I love all sports especially hockey and tennis. I am planning to return to Sussex for my sixth form in 2018! I miss Bricklehurst as I have so many happy memories.

I left Bricklehurst in 1985 (!!!) having been a pupil for several happy years . I went on to study medicine at University College London and am now a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Guildford. My niece is currently a pupil at Bricklehurst, I hope she is loving it as much as I did!

I must have left Bricklehurst in about 1987- I remember eating Jean’s delicious chocolate cake in the kitchen after netball matches, and that lovely view from the rounder’s match. And I made life long friends- Patrick Smith- Vicky Trench- and Genevieve Butler. I read Architectural History at Edinburgh University, did a Conservation MSc at Brookes and have been working with old buildings since.

I’m now in Year 7 at TGS but I was at Bricklehurst from 2008 until 2014 and absolutely loved my time there. My two brothers still go there and I love going back to see the school and the teachers whenever I can. I recently attended a Bricklehurst Open Morning and enjoyed helping show prospective parents around and seeing all the children and the changes to the school. They now have a really cool outdoor studio, and I’m really looking forward to going to the Autumn Fair and seeing all my old friends again.

I am one of the four Blaxland girls who went to Bricklehurst. Year of 2007, I had a brilliant time there and moved to St Leonard’s Mayfield along with my older sisters. I am now currently in my first year at the University of Bath. I still play lots of sports specifically horse riding and netball for university. Haven’t been to Bricklehurst since my talk to perspective parents for Mayfield, but great to see an Alumnae page.
