The Early Years Day

Boy Young PoseThe school is open from 8:15 and children are welcome to go to their classes to participate in activities during this time. Although both classes are a part of our Early Years department, the timetables for Kindergarten and Reception differ as we encourage our Reception children to become a greater presence in the main school, following the timings and running of the main school.

Kindergarten

Registration takes place at 9am, followed by a group sound session. Activities begin at 9:15 following the timetable below.

In Kindergarten the children benefit from specialist teaching in Music and Gymnastics. There are designated Early Years teaching assistants who support in class, as well as delivering additional support or extension courses as required. Each member of staff in the Early Years department is trained according to the needs of this phase.

KG Play BikeSessions can be purchased according to the needs of the child in Kindergarten. Sessions run every day from 9:00 – 12:30 and 12:30 – 3:30, although children can have the option of staying all day (attending both sessions in one day). We are very flexible to meet your needs so please do contact the school office and ask to speak to Miss Oliver (EYFS Coordinator), Mrs Flowers (Head Teacher) or Mrs Elliott (Deputy Head Teacher). Reception

Registration takes place at 8:40, followed by an assembly led by Mrs Flowers or Mrs Elliott on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Lessons begin at 9:00 and run for 45 minutes following the timetable below.
