The children are very excited about events that will be taking place on our Open Day on Saturday 7th October. In support of the Hospice in the Weald, the children have been participating in the Herd of the Hospice? initiative and are planning activities, some of which are also fund raising, in support of this worthy cause. These include baking pony-shaped bread, sponsored spellathons, hobby hose racing and lots more.
Unfortunately our wonderful pony, Azura who was named by Izzy in Year 6, will not be on display as she will be taking part in the exhibition in Royal Victoria Place – please do take a look and donate if you can to this very worthy cause.
Hospice in the Weald provides care completely free of charge to patients with a terminal illness, their families and carers in West Kent and Northern East Sussex. This means they are there 24 hours a day to help, support and care for patients with an illness where a cure is no longer possible, and provide palliative care.
It’s not just at the end of life that Hospice in the Weald can help. They try to ensure that anyone affected by a terminal illness, whether they are the patient, a family member or carer, has the best possible quality of life from the moment of diagnosis.
Hospice in the Weald depends entirely on the generosity of the community it serves so please give generously.
