This week we held the first annual Bricklehurst U9 netball tournament – and the sun shone to celebrate the event with us!
Bricklehurst hosted 4 other local schools (Mayfield Primary, Stonegate Primary, Sacred Heart & Wadhurst Primary) for an afternoon of matches, training, coaching and a shooting competition.
It was amazing to see how much the children improved in the short space of time from the first game of the afternoon to the last, as well as being a chance for the teachers, parents and children from local schools to get together. It was a wonderful opportunity to improve our skills in a friendly, competitive way and we look forward to hosting it again next year!
All children played exceptionally well, however the competition ended with a joint win by Bricklehurst Manor and Sacred Heart – who have agreed to both have the shield for 6 months of the year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year to compete for the shield again.
